2015 was a record year for autos and containers at the Port of Baltimore’s public marine terminals, according to the Maryland Port Administration (MPA). The Port of Long Beach reports container throughput this February jumped 35.9 percent from a year ago to 561,412 TEUs. The Port of Los Angeles recorded its busiest February ever, with volume soaring 42 percent from February 2015 to 713,721 TEUs. The Port of Vancouver USA is celebrating 2015 as yet another record-breaking year for revenue and tonnage.  February data from the Port of Virginia show double-digit gains for box traffic at its Hampton Roads, Richmond and Virginia Inland Port terminals.
 
Atlantic Container Line (ACL) will continue to serve the North American and European markets at the Fairview Cove Container Terminal in the Port of Halifax pursuant to a newly signed contract with Ceres Halifax Inc. that runs through 2022.
 
Port of Long Beach
The Port of Seattle is supporting tourism development across Washington State by jointly promoting use of port facilities through a new Co-operative Tourism Promotion Program.
 
The Brownsville Navigation District will use the net proceeds of a newly closed $29.3 million bond issue primarily to build a new liquid cargo dock and as self-reimbursement for the purchase of a mobile harbor crane.
 
Indiana recently became the second U.S. state to establish an accelerated application process for Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZ) in all counties. The state port authority, Ports of Indiana, is the administrator for all FTZs in Indiana.
 
 
   
The Port of Kalama board of commissioners has awarded a $1.06 million construction contract to enhance pathways, landscaping and beautify the port’s riverfront marina parkway adjacent to the Columbia River and the port marina area.
