In Memoriam – Marc C. Krantz

Marc C. Krantz, chairman of the board of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority, passed away December 28 as the result of injuries sustained in a skiing accident at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming. He was 54.

Mr. Krantz had served since 1998 as a managing partner of Kohrman Jackson & Krantz, where he specialized in in a comprehensive securities, commercial finance and corporate law.

He was appointed to the port authority board in 2009 and served two years as vice chairman before being elected chairman in 2013.

In other civic roles, he represented the City of Cleveland in the sale and development of the Cleveland Convention Center and the Global Center for Health Innovation and served on many community boards.

He was a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a member of the American, Cleveland Metropolitan, and Washington (DC) bar associations.

Survivors include his wife, Michele and their three children, Ellen, Tara and Ross.
