The editors of Graphic Design USA last week notified Washington, D.C.-based Rubin Meyer Communications, creator of AAPA’s new "Endangered Seaports: The Big Picture" infographic, that the illustrated port industry fact sheet will receive a 2013 Certificate of Excellence award, in the Posters classification. The national design award honors outstanding new work by advertising agencies, graphic design firms and in-house graphics departments, spotlighting creativity in print, packaging, point-of-purchase, internet, interactive and motion graphics.

The infographic was developed to showcase to policymakers and policy influencers the critical economic lifelines that rely on connecting transportation infrastructure with seaports.
