AAPA 2013 Annual Convention Offers Host of 'Keynote' Speakers

Four keynote speakers will headline AAPA's annual convention in Orlando next month (Oct. 13-17). U.S. Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary John Porcari, along with Canadian Ambassador to the United States Gary Doer and Disney Cruise Line President Karl Holz, are confirmed. Also in the keynote line-up is a special guest speaker whose identify will be revealed just prior to the convention’s Wednesday (Oct. 16) luncheon.

Convention goers also will hear from a host of other presenters from the private and public sectors on topics ranging from global and economic trade recovery to perspectives on the future of public port authorities. In addition, international environmental leaders will focus on two environmental certification programs that AAPA has endorsed for its member ports, while a crisis communications specialist will lead an interactive session on effective strategic communications planning. The winners of AAPA's awards competitions for communications, environmental improvement, information technology and facilities engineering will highlight their 2013 award-winning projects.
