Duluth Seaway Port Authority Elects Officers
At its annual meeting earlier this spring, the
Duluth Seaway Port Authority Board of Commissioners elected officers for fiscal year 2014, which began April 1. Re-elected to their posts were
Steve Raukar, president;
Ray Klosowski, vice president; and
Rick Revoir, assistant treasurer. Commissioners
Cal Larson and
Norm Voorhees were elected treasurer and secretary, respectively.
The Duluth Seaway Port Authority is governed by a seven-member board – two commissioners appointed by the governor, two by the St. Louis County Board and three by the Duluth City Council. Members in addition to the officers are Commissioners Chris Dahlberg and Tony Sertich.
The port authority is an independent, public agency created by the Minnesota State Legislature in 1955 to foster domestic and international maritime commerce, promote trade development, facilitate industrial development, and advance port interests here and around the world. The agency’s assets include Clure Public Marine Terminal, Garfield Docks C&D, Duluth Airpark and Erie Pier.
