Tampa Receives New Embraer Airplane Components from Brazil

The Port of Tampa has been selected as the port of entry for shipments of wing and fuselage assemblies destined for Embraer’s jet assembly plant in Melbourne (FL).

Embraer’s Executive Jets Campus is part of Embraer S.A., a multinational corporation headquartered in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The company is seeking to establish a U.S presence in the entry-level and light jet segments with the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300. The Brazilian-made aircraft components will be used in the final assembly of Embraer’s executive jets.

The initial shipment arrived in Tampa from Santos on Feb. 5 aboard the NYK Ro/Ro Pluto Leader. The vessel operates in NYK’s Gulf Express Service, which also calls the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and Guatemala.
