AAPA Shifting Trade Routes Program

AAPA’s Shifting International Trade Routes workshop, January 24-25 in Tampa, examined the effect of the world economic outlook on investment decisions, cargo movements and international trade in general. Industry experts addressed the international economic outlook and shifts in global trade, gave an update on the Panama Canal expansion, and provided international perspectives on shifting trade routes in the Western Hemisphere. A top-tier panel of carrier representatives included Lea Bogatch-Genossar, president of Zim American Integrated Shipping; Gene Seroka, president of APL Americas; and Allen Clifford, executive vice president of Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA), Inc. In addition, the participants heard from ports, terminal operators, railroads, and logistics and warehouse and distribution center investors on how they are planning for the future.

Workshop presentations will soon be available on AAPA's website.
