Cleveland: Energy Industry Director to Lead the Port’s Government Outreach Efforts 

Jade Davis will be joining the Port of Cleveland as vice president of external affairs, effective September 10, 2015. 
 
Mr. Davis will be responsible for implementing and managing the port’s government relations and communications efforts. The position will focus on local, state and federal issues of concern to the port, stakeholder engagement and strategic media efforts. He will report directly to CEO William Friedman.

He comes to the port from the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE), based in Washington, D.C., where he served as senior director of state affairs and outreach. 

During his tenure at ACCCE, Mr. Davis managed various state and federal legislative issues, the development of strategic outreach initiatives, and led the engagement of environmental and electricity regulators throughout the United States. Earlier, he worked as a legislative and economic development liaison for the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and as a policy analyst for the Ohio Senate. 

Born and raised in Cleveland, he attended The College of Wooster and Eastern Michigan University for undergraduate and graduate studies, respectively.

Seattle: Long-Time Port Employee Named Interim Maritime Division Managing Director

Lindsay Pulsifer, general manager of marine maintenance for the Port of Seattle, has been named its interim maritime division managing director. She will be responsible for directing the strategic and daily operations of maritime environmental services, harbor services, marine maintenance, industrial properties, and cruise operations until a maritime division managing director is selected.

"While providing excellent leadership to diverse teams, Lindsay has demonstrated strong support for talent development, keen business acumen, and organizational guidance during periods of change," said Port CEO Ted J. Fick.

A port employee for more than 30 years, Ms. Pulsifer holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington.

Former Maritime Division Managing Director Linda Styrk accepted a new position as executive director for the Puget Sound Pilots. A national search will be underway for a permanent replacement.
