Port Saint John Chair and Vice Chair Re-elected by Board

Peter Gaulton and Philip Brewer have been re-elected to two-year terms as chair and vice chair, respectively, of the board of directors of Port Saint John. They have served in those positions since April 2013.
 
Mr. Gaulton, port authority board member since 2008, previously served as board vice chair and as chair of the board’s audit committee. He has been a Saint John-based chartered accountant for the past 36 years and has owned his own firm for the past 25 years.    

Vice Chair Philip Brewer has been a director of Port Saint John since 2011 and the owner and president of Cox Electronics & Communications for more than 30 years. He chairs the port authority’s human resources committee and previously chaired its audit committee.

Carol Kerfoot Appointed to the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority

Canadian Transport Minister Lisa Raitt on April 2 announced the appointment of Carol Alexandra Kerfoot of Vancouver to represent port users on the board of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for a term ending on September 25, 2016.

Ms. Kerfoot has been a partner at Kornfeld LLP in Vancouver since 1993. Previously, she was affiliated with Freeman & Company, initially as an associate lawyer and beginning in 1981 as a partner.

She has served as a director for the Vancouver Airport Authority, the Vancouver Museum Society, the Women’s Resource Centre Society, and the BC Assessment Authority (2003-2006). She also served as director and corporate secretary of Core-Mark International Inc. and as a Vancouver Police Foundation trustee. 

Ms. Kerfoot holds a law degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She is enrolled in the director education program of the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, the Institute of Corporate Directors, and the Vancouver I am Powerful Council of Care Canada.
