Located on Lake Ontario, Oswego is the first U.S. deepwater port on the Great Lakes from the St. Lawrence Seaway. Facilities include two marine terminals, thousands of square feet of open and closed storage, a fleet of forklifts and other cargo handling equipment, and berth depths ranging up to Seaway draft of 26 feet 6 inches. Traffic consists of approximately 120 vessels and more than one million tons of cargo annually. Principal cargoes are aluminum ingots, steel, agricultural products, fertilizers, salt, cement, heavy lift and petroleum.
