University of Washington: Master’s Program in International Studies

The University of Washington is complete the first year of its Master of Arts program in Applied International Studies and is actively recruiting candidates for  2015/16. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least five years of professional experience. They may work in government, business, philanthropy, the non-profit sector, or the military. They may be mid-career or between careers. And they may come from the international affairs arena, or hope to dive into it. The brochure provides detail.

The initial group consisted of candidates from the United States, Germany, South Sudan, South Korea, Venezuela, China and Japan. They entered  the program with degrees in business administration, law, societies & justice, communications, political science, and international relations and a wide range of professional experience, including in technology, education, sustainability, global development, transportation, manufacturing and civic activism.
