CMA CGM Adds New Orleans to Weekly European Service

French ocean container carrier CMA CGM is adding the Port of New Orleans to its Victory Bridge Service, beginning with the February 2 arrival of the CMA CGM Jamaica at Napoleon Avenue Container Terminal.

"We are thrilled to have France-based CMA CGM add the Port of New Orleans to their Victory Bridge Service," said Port President and CEO Gary LaGrange, PPM®. "Shippers will now have greater options, which will further strengthen our connections to not only Europe, but also the Mediterranean, Africa, India Sub-Continent, Middle East and Red Sea."

CMA CGM has called the port since 2009 and operates its weekly Gulf Bridge Express to the Caribbean and South and Central American ports from New Orleans.

The Victory Bridge Service also calls the ports of Antwerp (Belgium), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Bremerhaven (Germany), Veracruz (Mexico) and Altamira (Mexico).

Stevedore Ports America will work the new service’s cargo at the Napoleon Avenue Container Terminal.
