Port Person of the Year Nominations

AAPA corporate members are invited to nominate individuals for consideration as AAPA's 2015 Port Person of the Year. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Depending on the individual or individuals selected, the award(s) may be presented either at the 2015 Spring Conference, April 20-21, in Washington, D.C.; during the AAPA Annual Convention, October 11-14, hosted by PortMiami; or during the Latin American Congress, November 16-18 in Arica, Chile.

One or more awards are made in recognition of individuals whose outstanding work has made a significant contribution to public ports and/or maritime commerce either internationally or within a country or region. Generally, nominees are not members of the public port community itself, but friends and allies (active members of the association are not eligible). The formal criteria for eligibility and judging are available on AAPA’s website (scroll to the bottom of the page).

AAPA corporate members may nominate an individual for this award. Please provide at least one paragraph on each of the three judging criteria listed. Nominations should be submitted to Jean Godwin at AAPA Headquarters (703-684-5700) no later than Friday, December 31, 2014. Selection of those receiving the honor for 2015 will be made by the AAPA Executive Committee at its winter meeting in late January.
