Keeping current with trends in port operations, AAPA is hosting its first ever Energy & Environment Seminar on September 16-18 in Chicago. This timely program will examine how ports are finding and implementing solutions to environmental and energy challenges.

Experts will discuss shore power and energy technology deployment, and a session of rapid-fire presentations will highlight recent developments in air emissions reduction technology. Several ports will discuss their creation and use of sustainable design guidelines, and industry leaders will showcase stormwater treatment technology. Attendees will also hear examples of how to engage successfully with local environmental groups.

The last half-day of the seminar will be Big Data Day and will examine how big data is being used to make decisions at the micro level (gate and terminal operations), the macro level (worldwide industry trends) and everything in between (port operations, shipping line decisions).

Plan to attend or exhibit at this new and noteworthy event!
