For most port industry communications professionals, there are times when you’re advocating for your organization’s local, regional or national policy issues, and times when you’re focused on raising awareness for your organization’s value to the community and nation. In AAPA’s 2014 Public and Government Relations Workshop, June 24-25, you’ll have opportunities to wear both your public relations and your public affairs hats by participating in sessions that offer elements of both disciplines.

Hosted by the Toronto Port Authority, this workshop focuses on strengthening your strategic communications outreach efforts with community groups, business leaders, policymakers and those who influence policymakers. However, each of the sessions – whether it’s on planning, on relationship building, on social media development, or on broadcast media interviewing – have one thing in common ... they’re all about improving your skills as a communicator and measuring the results.

Check out the program agenda or click here to register. In this port-oriented communications workshop, you’ll not only network with other pros like yourself, you’ll learn to proactively pace your public and government relations programs for superior results.
