Currently a port development consultant, Mr. Hartung spent 25 years in the public port industry, including chief executive positions with the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority and the Indiana Port of Burns Harbor. During that time, he was actively involved in AAPA affairs, serving as chair of its U.S. Port delegation and U.S. Legislative Policy Council. He was also a founding member of the AAPA Maritime Economic Development Committee.
