A Washington State Auditor’s Office audit report released June 10 found the Port of Vancouver to be in compliance with all areas of financial reporting, including federal grant program requirements. There were no findings of deficiencies or recommendations for improvement.

A letter from State Auditor Troy Kelly that accompanied the official audit stated: "The results of our tests disclosed no instances of noncompliance or other matters that are required to be reported under Government Auditing Standards."

The audit covered calendar year 2012. The Port of Vancouver has received clean audits for the past four years.

"We are pleased with the results of this audit," said Jeff Estuesta, the port’s director of finances. "It provides independent validation that the port is responsibly managing the funding that comes from the state and federal governments, as well as our local taxpayers."
