Redwood City Names Fajkos Security Manager

Christopher Fajkos has joined the Port of Redwood City as manager of environmental, security and safety. 

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Mr. Fajkos served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 2004 to 2010. While stationed aboard the in Alameda-based Coast Guard cutter Munro, he participated in multiple Alaskan and Eastern Pacific counter-narcotics patrols. His final four years of service were spent as a lead intelligence analyst at the Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Pacific (MIFC), the Coast Guard's primary intelligence center for the Pacific Ocean. 

He holds a Coast Guard Achievement Medal for superior performance at MIFC Pacific, a Commandant’s letter of commendation for exemplary performance of duty aboard the Munro, and a Humanitarian Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious service while engaged in humanitarian relief operations following Hurricane Katrina.

After leaving the Coast Guard, Mr. Fajkos earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from San Francisco State University.
