Port Manatee Promotes Three, Hires Corporate Communications Manager

Port Manatee has promoted three key staff members and hired a new corporate communications manager.

Promoted were Chief Financial Officer and Senior Director of Business Robert J. Armstrong to deputy executive director and CFO, Director of Seaport Security Frank Holden to senior director of seaport security, and Compliance Manager David St. Pierre to deputy director of seaport security.

Mr. Armstrong is responsible for Port Manatee’s finance and business activities, as well as telecommunications and information technology. Mr. Holden is responsible for the overall security and safety of the port. Mr. St. Pierre performs all duties relating to compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations related to the port’s security and safety. He also administrates and teaches the port’s U.S. Maritime Administration-approved security courses.

Julie Yeh joins the Port Manatee staff as corporate communications manager after working as supervisor of corporate communications at Sarasota-based FCCI Insurance Group. At the port, she is responsible for coordinating and implementing public relations and advertising programs as they relate to trade development, tenant, community, employee, government and international relations.
