Nearly 100 representatives from all four AAPA port delegations attended last month’s Cruise Seminar in San Francisco.  Speakers discussed regional cruise markets in the Caribbean, Canada, the United States, Mexico and South America.  Attendees also heard a keynote address from Juan José Martín Pacheco, director general of tourism product development for the Mexican Secretariat for Tourism. Top level cruise line executives from Holland America Line, Crystal Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Princess Cruises discussed the state of the cruise industry. Other sessions focused on emission control area regulations; itinerary planning and destination management; cruise facility design, processing, safety and security; and the use of shore power. Click here for the workshop proceedings.
