Brownsville Welcomes New Director of Finance

Stephen B. Fitzgibbons is the new director of finance at the Port of Brownsville. He succeeds Debby Duke, who is now the port’s director of administrative services. Mr. Fitzgibbons, whose first day on the job was Jan. 31, oversees the finance department and is responsible for a $15 million budget.

He comes to the port with more than 27 years of experience in executive leadership, administration, finance and management. At various times, he has been city manager of Port Arthur, Ingleside and Brownsville. His degrees include a master’s in urban administration from the University of Missouri and a bachelor’s in economics from William Jewel College.
