Bahri RoCon Service Begins Calling Port Saint John

Bahri Logistics is the latest general cargo carrier to begin regular calls at DP World Cargo Terminals in Port Saint John.

The Baltimore based company operates six new 25,957 dwt multipurpose vessels designed to carry project, ro/ro roll-off, break bulk and container cargo. Four of the so-called "RoCon" ships are deployed in service connecting Canada via Saint John to major ports in the Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent, the Mediterranean, Mexico and the U.S. Gulf and East coasts. The Bahri service calls Port Saint John every 24 days.

"Adding a new service to the offerings at Port Saint John provides shippers and receivers in the region and beyond opportunity to access new markets with their products," said Jim Quinn, the port authority’s president and chief executive officer. "The Bahri vessels are uniquely designed multipurpose vessels which specialize in carrying project cargo, roll on-roll off cargo and containers and their addition to the services at DP World’s cargo terminal here is very welcomed."
