Port Everglades will continue to serve as Silversea Cruises' winter homeport for the next two years according to a new agreement between Silversea and the Broward County Commission. October 12-13, the port will welcome the ultra-luxury line’s newest ship, the Silver Muse.

"Silversea Cruises has been a valued customer of Port Everglades for many years, and with the agreement in place, we look forward to welcoming Silversea's newest flagship Silver Muse when it makes its U.S. debut this fall," said Port Everglades Chief Executive & Port Director Steven Cernak, PPM®.

Silversea Cruises has been sailing from Port Everglades since October 2000. The 596-passenger Silver Muse is scheduled for five sailings next year. That would be in addition to Port Everglades sailings by the company’s Silver Spirit, Silver Whisper and Silver Wind.

The agreement is for an initial two-year period with the option to renew for an additional three years, with a minimum of 12 sailings annually.
