Port of Los Angeles Educational Initiative

The Port of Los Angeles is seeking to develop future maritime and port leadership through a newly launched Fellows Program. The one-year program offers on-the-job experience to graduate students seeking careers in public administration, logistics, port and terminal operations, or public safety. Fellows will be allowed to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the regular academic year.

"As the shipping and port industries rapidly evolve, we need to make sure we have the next generation trained and ready to take the helm," said Port Executive Director Gene Seroka. "The Port of Los Angeles Fellows Program will help us tap into the best and the brightest who we’ll need to lead our industry in the decades ahead."

Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume and an academic writing sample by Monday, May 9, 2016, to the Port of Los Angeles, 425 S. Palos Verdes Street, San Pedro, CA, 90731, ATTN: Human Resources Division, or by email to Stephanie Holloman at sholloman@portla.org.
