We are pleased to announce the addition of two new Silver Industry Partners to the AAHOA family, MSI Surfaces and NextGen Hospitality Consultants! MSI Surfaces lets you create indoor and outdoor spaces that reflect your style and personality. From porcelain pavers, wood-look planks, and LVT to mosaic tiles, marble, quartz, natural stone countertops, and hardscape materials, they have it all. NextGen is a trusted strategic revenue partner for hotels, owners, and management companies. They develop and support strategies for long-range forecasting - no matter the economic climate - and provide remote revenue and sales representation for hotels.

Last week, Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL) and Sen Brian Schatz (D-HI) introduced the Save Hotel Jobs Act, which would provide hoteliers with tax credits and payroll grants up to $20 million. This bill is the first proposal to offer direct, targeted relief to hotels. As travel returns, many hoteliers have had difficulty rehiring and staffing out their teams. This is a critical piece of legislation to address the ongoing labor crisis our industry faces. We urge you to contact your members of Congress to request their support for the Save Hotel Jobs Act. Joining the campaign takes only moments, so act now!

Truist Securities (formerly SunTrust Robinson Humphrey) reports, “We view that the conclusion of an extended March-April Spring Break reflects lighter leisure demand pre-summer months combined with continued limited professional corporate travel (Upscale and above). Effectively, May should reflect whatever growth in higher-rated business travel that is to come. Though we have low expectations. Upscale RevPAR was +204.7% and -39.4% over 2 years; Upper Midscale was +197.3% and -21.7% over 2 years.”
