Governor Abbot has named 54 Texas counties as disaster areas. He has also suspended statewide state and local hotel occupancy taxes. THLA and AAHOA are working together to answer questions about how guests can take advantage of the tax exemption, in addition to many other topics including hotel room availability across Texas, room pricing during an emergency, pet fees and pet deposits, weather updates, and more.
This fall AAHOA will host a two-day, intensive workshop designed to guide, assist and prepare hoteliers in their efforts to find and obtain financing for their hotel projects. Expert speakers will provide an in-depth look at the different types of financing available, how to build a financial profile and best practices on seeking out an approval. The event is slated to take place Nov. 29-30 in Orlando at the Rosen Centre. Seating is limited to the first 100 registrants. Save your spot today
