Paul Straus, President and CEO of Home Hardware Stores Limited, helped Home Hardware Dealers from across Canada celebrate Home Hardware Blue Jays Fan Appreciation Day by presenting a cheque for $250,000 to Special Olympics Canada and a cheque for $185,000 to SickKids Foundation (SickKids) during the game at the Rogers Centre on Sunday, September 30, 2012.

Alliance Door Products Canada, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has purchased the assets of Summit Distributors Inc. and will be taking over Summit's distribution business in Edmonton, effective November 5, 2012. Summit Distributors will carry on business as usual in the interim period.

Kaycan® Ltd., a North American leader in vinyl, aluminum and engineered wood siding, trim and aluminum building products, announced today that it has successfully finalized its acquisition of Uniboard® Canada Inc., a leader in engineered wood products. Kaycan had previously entered into an all cash for shares deal with Uniboard's parent company Pfleiderer Canada Inc. on September 5, 2012.
