12:45 PM–1:45 PM Professionalism Lunch Presentation with Author Curtis Wilkie
The Fall of the House of Zeus chronicles the meteoric rise and mythic-proportioned fall of the Mississippi trial lawyer, Dickie Scruggs. Professor Wilkie is currently the Overby Fellow and Kelly G. Cook Chair of Journalism at the University of Mississippi. Fall, which was reviewed in the Summer 2011 edition of The Verdict, shows how Scruggs, arguably at one time the nation’s wealthiest trial lawyer, ends his legal career in shame as a convicted felon, largely because of uncontrollable greed. Professor Wilkie has graciously offered to sign The Fall of the House of Zeus, which will be available for purchase in the meeting room through A Capella Books.

7:30 PM GTLA Annual Gala
This year, we have much to celebrate! Come and raise a glass as President Jay Sadd passes the torch to President-elect Buck Rogers. Tickets include all the food and drink you can handle while getting down with the soulful sounds of Party Nation!
