Forge will host 10 four-person teams for a day of fun and camaraderie at the beautiful Cherokee Town & Country Club located at 665 Hightower Trail, Atlanta, GA 30350-1710.   There will be a shotgun start at 9:00 am.  The fee is $125 and includes box lunches, reception, giveaways, green fee and awards/prizes.  Please register on the form located in the back of this booklet. 

  

We are honored to have as our Professionalism speaker Curtis Wilkie, the author of The Fall of the House of Zeus - The Rise and Ruin of America's Most Powerful Trial Lawyer, which chronicles the meteoric rise and mythic-proportioned fall of the Mississippi trial lawyer, Dickie Scruggs.  Professor Wilkie is currently the Overby Fellow and Kelly G. Cook Chair of Journalism at the University of Mississippi, and will be joining us for the day from Oxford, Mississippi.  Fall, which was reviewed in the Summer 2011 edition of The Verdict, shows how Scruggs, arguably at one time the nation’s wealthiest trial lawyer, ends his legal career in shame as a convicted felon, largely because of uncontrollable greed.

Professor Wilkie has graciously offered to sign The Fall of the House of Zeus, which will be available for purchase in the meeting room through A Capella Books.

Voss is President of Ethikos and an Associate Professor at Georgia State University.  A gifted public speaker and award-winning teacher, Dr. Voss teaches courses on Shakespeare, Dante, Machiavelli, Business Ethics, Renaissance Literature, and the History of the Book.  He publishes on a wide variety of topics (for both academic audiences and for the popular press) and regularly appears on television and radio programs.  His enriching seminars include subjects such as Ethics in Safety and Ethics in Decision Making.
