Jacob H. is a smart, shy, introverted 16-year-old boy. In 2009, the school social worker at Jacob's school filed a truancy petition with the Fulton County Juvenile Court. Jacob had missed 35 out of 60 days of school. That's when the Truancy Intervention Project and volunteer GTLA Community Outreach Chair Erik Olson became involved.

GRASSROOTS REPORT
The Heart of Georgia is alive and well with trial lawyers! MGTLA hasn’t just limited its 2011 successes to speakers and luncheons. The group recently voted to donate to the Leadership Macon 2011 Class Project for a playground in a blighted neighborhood in Macon.
