PODCAST

In this episode of From the Crows' Nest, we go back to AOC 2025, where Ken Miller hosted a live panel and posed the question, “Is it time to establish a dedicated EMSO force?” Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Kevin Kennedy, Col. (Ret.) Jeffrey Fischer, and Eric Bamford discussed the value of international and coalition perspectives, debated whether the electromagnetic spectrum should be treated as its own domain, and explored the industry’s role in advancing military capabilities.

FALLEN CROWS

Past AOC President Dr. Charles "Charlie" Brown passed away on January 25. Born in 1936 in Rockville, Ind., he held electrical engineering degrees from Purdue and the University of Cincinnati, as well as his Ph.D. from Ohio State in 1967. After working at AVCO and Systems Research Labs, he co-founded MacAulay-Brown, Inc. in 1978 and worked there until his semi-retirement in 2005. He served as AOC President from 1996 to 1997. Charlie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary, daughters Cyndie and Kathy, and granddaughter Savannah.
