From the WV Division of Natural Resources:

Faced with an antiquated mix of electronic and paper hunting and fishing license systems, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has been working during the past few years to come up with a state-of-the-art system that will be more efficient and convenient for both the public and DNR personnel. Also, for the first time, hunters will be able to check in their game from their phone or computer.

Online Licensing System
The goWILD licensing system was developed in house by the DNR in 2002. Obviously, computer software has improved by leaps and bounds since that time, and old programs are no longer sustainable. As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Well, in this case, it was broken, and it had to be fixed.

KEYSER -- Project WET and Project Learning Tree will be showcased for educators at the upcoming Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Festival to be held Saturday, March 28, from noon to 4 p.m., on the Potomac State College of WVU campus, in Keyser.

The activity "What a Tree Can Tell You" was presented during a previous STEM festival by Linda Carnell with the WV Division of Forestry and Jeff Jones of Potomac State College. John Morgan is shown blowing bubbles through a piece of wood, which helps answer the question, "Can all woods be used for all things?"
