MEMBER REBATE PROGRAM
Due to the wide distribution of members across the Prairies, the north and NW Ontario, member rebates are available to offset the cost of travel and expenses to attend these courses. Rebate information and forms are available at www.wrla.org. Please note that courses must be paid in full by course date, and rebate forms sent to the WRLA office no later than 30 days from course completion date.

CanWel Building Materials Group Ltd. announced two key executive appointments. Bob Simko, previously the President and CEO of Broadleaf Logistics Company ("Broadleaf"), will assume the new role of President of the Company's CanWel Broadleaf Division. Separately, Robert Downs will assume the role of President with the CanWel Hardware Division. The appointments will be effective September 7th, 2010.

Both individuals will report directly to Amar S. Doman, Chairman and CEO of the Company. "As we optimize our new operating platform for the benefit of the Canadian marketplace, it is critical to maintain focus across each of our core businesses," noted Mr. Doman. "Bob will provide solid leadership for the integration activities as we combine the two legacy lumber and building materials entities, while Robert will bring his strong leadership and experience to the Hardware Division."

TIM-BR MARTS Ltd. announced that to unite its growing coast-to-coast network of dealers and suppliers, the company is launching the TIM-BR MART National Buying Show to be held in Mississauga, ON at the Toronto Congress Centre from March 31 to April 2, 2011.

The primary purpose of the show is to provide TIM-BR MART Dealers with a central venue to convene with industry suppliers and take advantage of buying opportunities and new product showings. The secondary objective is to create a forum for networking and information exchange amongst industry colleagues.

Laird Lappi has resigned as Home Hardware's Western Regional Manager to pursue other business interests. Laird has played an important role in the growth of the division for the past 15 years and the company wishes him well in his new endeavours. Laird's last day was Friday, August 27th.
