In August, VDOT hosted the Southeastern Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (SASHTO) in Norfolk. This meeting brings together top highway transportation officials from Texas to Virginia along with members of the construction and consultant communities. With over 1,000 people in attendance, sessions were held on a variety of topics such as connected and automated vehicles, disruptive technologies and innovative delivery of transportation projects.
