Team Arthur
Since the VAA Annual Meeting in April, the Scholarship Committee has been working hard to raise funds for the 2017 scholarships. Unlike 2016 where scholarship funds were generated solely from individual and corporate donations, the proceeds from the VAA Asphalt Classic Golf Tournament and the raffling of a Yeti cooler at the Fall Asphalt Conference raised more than $10,000. A special thanks to James River Equipment for donating the cooler and the 80 golfers who registered for the tournament.

Also, a big thanks to all of this year's sponsors. Without you the tournament would not have been a success!

The goal of the Scholarship Committee is to fund five scholarships in 2017. At least one scholarship will be awarded to a student attending a community college or trade school. Donations can be made and students can apply on VAA's website.
