October 29, Houston TAHFM is excited to announce our next always fun, always popular, 5th Annual Wack 'Em and Stack 'Em Sporting Clays Tournament. Registration will begin at 12:00 p.m., tournament to begin at 1:30 p.m. All proceeds raised at this year's shoot will support our educational and technical assistance mission to assist our membership in affordable professional development.
 
November 13, San Antonio In this first of a series of basic skills and educational development for the healthcare facility professional the curriculum will provide an overview of codes, standards, and best practices that are designed to better orient the future healthcare leader to the regulatory knowledge and basic physics associated with managing a complex healthcare facility.
 
By Gaylene Stengel, TAHFM Region 5 Representative After being postponed due to spring floods, the 2015 Dallas Wack ‘Em and Stack ‘Em Sporting Clays Tournament was held on September 18th with 108 shooters participating. The Elm Fork Shooting Sports shotgun venue featured 12 stations and 100 targets with shooters testing their skills in many simulated outdoor shooting situations such as duck blinds and ground game.

American Society for Healthcare Engineering Antonio Suárez is a past president of TAHFM and the Director of Facilities Services at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. As a member of ASHE, he currently serves on the ASHE Board of Directors representing Region 7 (Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico) and currently serves as the Vice Chair for the ASHE Chapter Relations Advisory Committee. Congratulations, Antonio!
