Medicare is taking steps to remove Social Security numbers from Medicare cards. CMS will issue new Medicare cards with a new unique, randomly-assigned number called a Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) to replace the existing Social Security-based Health Insurance Claim Number starting in April 2018. All Medicare cards will be replaced by April 2019.

After a two year battle with ALS, Dr. Kurt Brown passed away on June 5, 2017 at his home in Graham surrounded by his family. Kurt moved to Graham in 1990 and spent his life as a chiropractor, endeavoring to help those in pain regardless of their ability to pay.
