F4CP® Supports TCA in Statewide Battle with Ad in Austin Daily Newspaper

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP®), in collaboration with TCA, developed an advertisement serving as an Open Letter to the Texas Legislature addressing the legal battle which threatens a doctor of chiropractic’s scope of practice in Texas.The ad appeared in the Feb. 9 issue of the Austin American-Statesman, one day before TCA Legislative Day and just prior to the Texas Chiropractic Legislative Conference (TCLC).

The ad states:

"Unfortunately, Texans’ ability to access chiropractic care is under attack. In recent years, an anticompetitive trade association has twice sued the state, challenging the authority of a Doctor of Chiropractic to render a diagnosis. These lawsuits, which have cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars, threaten to restrict Texans’ access to chiropractic care.

During the 85th Legislative Session, the Texas Chiropractic Association, Parker University and the Texas Chiropractic College will be working to protect Texans’ right to choose chiropractic as a potential alternative to opioids.
