The 43rd TXAPA Annual Meeting is scheduled for September 19-23, 2017 at the La Torretta Resort in Montgomery, Texas.

We are looking forward to an exciting, fun and informative annual meeting.
PIQ meetings were held this month in the Dallas, Yoakum, Abilene, Brownwood San Angelo Districts. Open communication and productive discussion once again were the result of the TXAPA and TxDOT Partners in Quality meetings.
TXAPA held the first Fundamentals of Asphalt 101 class in Fort Worth on April 27, 2017. The class was very well received and there were approximately 80 people in attendance. The attendees were from cities, counties, TxDOT and member firms. The next class will take place in

Technically Speaking
The TxDOT highway letting is scheduled for May 2-3, 2017. The total tonnage for May is 953,157.

Spreading the word about asphalt pavement mix types and their proper uses continues to be a popular activity for TXAPA. Recently, Chuck Fuller and Harold Mullen were on the road with our engineering partners at CobbFendley discussing the latest technology and the many mix types

Certification News From The HMAC
The 2017 class schedule is available on the HMAC website. Be sure to schedule your classes in advance because they do fill up quickly. The HMAC works diligently to make sure that all your certification needs are met and new classes are formed as needed.
