SPFA News and Announcements
Thanks to SPFA Technical Director Rick Duncan, spray polyurethane foam is the subject of quite a few articles in various industry publications. These articles are examples of how SPFA continually educates others about the benefits of SPF and promotes and invests in SPF's future. These articles are also excellent pieces for SPFA members to use for marketing purposes.

This week we are going to focus on the second compliance method, one that is often overlooked, the performance path from 2015 IRC Section 1105.

The key requirement for the performance path is that your building, the proposed design, must be shown to have an annual energy cost that is less than or equal to the annual energy cost of the standard reference design building, which is generally a building that meets the minimum prescriptive code requirements.

SPFA Courses and Certification

Companies who employ PCP certified individuals with current credentials will be identified in the 2016-2017 SPFA Membership Directory. If you don’t have any employees whose certifications are current, your company won’t benefit from this special identifier. Hurry and act now since we are near our deadline for printing the Membership Directory.

Please note that the 2016-2017 online edition will be updated through the course of the year; however, you must act SOON to be included in the printed edition. If you have questions, please contact Kelly Marcavage at kmarcavage@sprayfoam.org

Within the next few weeks, SPFA will be hosting an informational webinar about the SPFA Professional Certification Program (PCP). The program will be moderated by Kurt Riesenberg, Executive Director SPFA and the speakers are Bonnie Strickler – Chair of the QAP Committee for the Certification Program and Kelly Marcavage, Certification Director SPFA.

In our quest to continually improve the SPFA’s Professional Certification Program (PCP) – we’ve put the forms and checklist for each level of certification into a folder for you to easily access from our website. www.sprayfoam.org/certification. These are the same forms that are in each of the handbooks, but we’ve extracted them and made them fillable for you to easily complete. The checklist for each level is also in the folder.
