Premium Spray Products - a brand of Accella Polyurethane Systems, announced its Foamsulate™ 220 closed-cell spray foam has recently been qualified as an interior wall insulation system which complies with the International Building Code and International Residential Code when covered with Staycell ONE STEP® 255 closed-cell spray foam insulation which contains integral fire resistance typically referred to as thermal barriers in the nation’s building codes.

These all-foam "hybrid systems" are code-compliant as a result of passing the code-designated UL 1715 large-scale fire test.
This two-layer "hybrid system" is installed on interior surfaces of walls, roofs, floor decks and ceilings providing high R-value, air barrier and fire retardant properties. Contractors get major cost savings and faster installation by eliminating usage of gypsum board or other distinct fire protective products otherwise required by building codes when spray foam insulation is applied within occupied spaces in new and existing buildings.

The products also provide enhanced fire safety during construction and alteration of new and existing buildings and enables occupancy permits to be obtained when installation of gypsum board wall or ceiling surfaces is not feasible immediately after the spray foam has been applied.

Foamsulate™ 220 is manufactured by Premium Spray Products - a brand of Accella Polyurethane Systems, based in Marietta, Georgia.

Staycell ONE STEP® 255 closed-cell spray foam is manufactured by Preferred Solutions, Inc. based in Cleveland, Ohio.
