Have you taken a lighting class or CEU recently? Have you looked at the information listed on lamp packaging in the past year? New lamp technologies ("lamp" is the proper name for a light bulb), energy codes and a more informed public are bringing changes to lighting. According to Josh Slobin in an LD A article April 2012, lighting design is "...undergoing the most rapid set of changes since the time of Edison."

WHEN: Thursday, May 9, 2014
8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Lutron Electronics Commercial Experience Center
455 Massachusetts Ave NW
Suite 770
Washington, DC 20001

DESCRIPTION:
The REGREEN Implementation Workshop is based on the REGREEN Residential Remodeling Guidelines©, a set of sustainability best practices that emphasize green product selection, team integration and whole-systems thinking. Filling a unique niche in the marketplace, REGREEN is designed for professionals who want to create sustainable, healthy interiors through single-scope projects such as a kitchen or bath remodel, as well as a whole-house gut rehab or historic renovation.
The new interiors-focused practicum was developed by American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) to address the industry-specific challenges interior designers face when renovating a client space. The full-day course offers practical tools and in-depth applications to prepare designers to make sustainable retrofit decisions that save money, improve home performance and contribute to healthy interiors. Building on foundational knowledge from the REGREEN Guidelines, the workshop employs faculty-led instruction and team charrettes for a fast-paced, information-filled day that will transform your design practice. Taught by veteran interior designer Annette Stelmack, Allied ASID, LEED AP BD C, sustainable design consultant at Inspirit-llc and co-author of Sustainable Residential Interiors, the workshop is the capstone course in the REGREEN Trained certificate program.

CEU Credit: This 300-level workshop offers 0.8 health/safety/welfare CEUs (IDCEC), which are also applicable to LEED credential maintenance (not LEED-specific). Attendees of the workshop will receive 0.8 CEU credits upon completion.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
For more information, visit the REGREEN website.

COST: $375 ASID members | $475 non-members (unless otherwise noted)
