RFMA 2018 Session Preview: Strategies to Increase the Life of Critical Equipment (HVAC) with James Walton 

The purpose of this session is to educate facility management personnel on the use of data for proper Asset Management. Historically, simple asset tags and a yearly check up by an HVAC or plumber have been used. However, this provides little historical information for understanding trends. Additionally, the industry has dealt with inaccurate reviews and lack of information on the overall performance of assets to know when they need to be replaced or continued to be maintained. This is becoming more critical every year as facilities teams continued to have their maintenance budgets reduced.
