August US Sanitary Paper Price Index Close to Eight Year Low
Research demonstrates how the U.S. Sanitary Paper Price peaked between approximately 2011-2012. However, the price then became stagnant over several months and years. Currently the price is still "healthy" but is at the same level now that it was in during late 2010 when the U.S. was in an economic recession.
 
China’s August Pulp Imports Were Down 5.4% ytd; Suddenly up 14+%
Research into the Chinese pulp market over a recent period clearly demonstrates the country's pulp importation levels / need for pulp from the P&P industry is growing nearly exponentially or that there is a clear need for the raw forest based product (tree pulp) over the last three months. Although unconfirmed , the Chinese government may be promoting deliberately to what may be their short or mid-term economic needs in pulp & paper production.
