Japan’s market for printing paper is continuing to contract by significant margins, as reported earlier this week. Companies now concentrate on packaging, energy production, and hygiene and diaper production. Japan's paper companies are also introducing novel concepts for utilizing paper-based fiber in new batteries being released to the market for the first time to help meet new efficiency standards adopted by their international trading partners.

The package is currently being trialed in retail outlets across the country. TP secured the FSCT Chain of Custody certification for the last seven of its 92 facilities and legal entities worldwide last year as well. The new heating station will produce process steam for the SCA Hygiene Products paper mill and the Nokian Renkaat factory, as well as district heat for residential customers. The fossil natural gas previously used for energy production will be replaced with more affordable biofuels, such as timber chips and whole tree chips. In addition, the boiler can utilize milled peat and sludge from the paper mill.

Loggers separate and sell their harvested fiber for the highest possible value for use in construction, furniture, or pulp and paper. Otherwise, there would be pricing issues with these valuable forest resources, none of which are now designed to go to waste, which should be considered a great development and leap forward for the domestic forest industries.
