"Tech Talks: What’s New" in 2020 Receives High Number of Applications

The industry’s most powerful corrugated event in the western hemisphere, SuperCorrExpo® (SCE), hosted jointly by TAPPI and AICC, has once again shown just how powerful it is – even in the midst of a global pandemic.

In April 2020, TAPPI and AICC announced that SCE 2020 was rescheduled to August 8 – 12, 2021 due to fallout from the coronavirus. Knowing that many exhibitors plan every four years to debut new and exciting innovations at SCE, the two organizations created a virtual way for them to showcase these products in the interim: Tech Talks: What’s New. This is a unique new way to connect with customers in 2020.

Power in Numbers
Over 50 exhibitors submitted applications to be part of Tech Talks. Due to the high interest, the Committee is extending the time to review applications to July 10, 2020. In addition, the Committee determined winning presentations will run two times per week during the period between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. All presentations will continue to be available for viewing online at supercorrexpo.org until August 2021. Those selected for the Tech Talk series will be contacted in the near future and the full schedule of presentations will be announced in late-July 2020.

What to Expect from Tech Talks
The series will feature solution-focused webinars comprised of seven-minute videos from SCE exhibitors highlighting new products/services/applications. The videos will be followed by live question and answer sessions, as well as the opportunity for participants to engage with the exhibitor, and one another, in a chat format. This series is a great way for corrugated professionals to start researching new products and technology services now – from the comfort of their home or business office. The conversation starts online, and finishes at SuperCorrExpo where they will personally see the products in action.
