Keynote speaker discusses sustainability efforts of Anheuser-Busch at PEERS 2019

Anheuser-Busch is a high profile company that depends on natural resources. With over 100 brands and 23 breweries nationwide, it takes sustainability very seriously. In 2018, Anheuser-Busch launched its U.S. 2025 Sustainability Goals, focused on four key areas: renewable electricity and carbon reduction, water stewardship, smart agriculture, and circular packaging. Over the past year, the company has found new, innovative ways to reduce the environmental impact of their entire supply chain in pursuit of these ambitious goals and will share details of their sustainability journey at PEERS 2019.

Angie Slaughter, vice president of sustainability procurement at Anheuser-Busch, will be the keynote speaker at TAPPI’s  2019 Pulping, Engineering, Environmental, Recycling, and Sustainability (PEERS) Conference, which will be held October 27-30 in the brewer’s “home city” of St. Louis, MO. As vice president, Slaughter is responsible for working cross-functionally to lead the company’s sustainability goals for the North America Zone operations. PEERS attendees can learn more about Anheuser-Busch’s sustainability initiative during Slaughter’s keynote presentation on October 28th.
