See the Keynote Speaker Lineup at the 127th DP&FC Conference

TAPPI’s Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing Committee (SRW) and the Association of American Railroads (AAR) are partnering for the 127thDamage Prevention and Freight Claim (DP&FC) Conference in Omaha, Nebraska, July 8-11, 2019 to bring attendees more diverse yet focused content. This will be one of the largest conferences AAR has planned and will include an array of industry speakers, committee meetings, and four separate breakout sessions.

That being said, there will be two keynote speakers at the DP&FC conference providing insights on the industry. Attendees can expect to see Lance M. Fritz, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Pacific Railroad and Ian Jefferies, President of the Association of American Railroads (AAR).

Lance M. Fritz has been Chairman of the Union Pacific board since October 1, 2015 and became President and Chief Executive Officer on February 5, 2015. He started with the Union Pacific in July 2000 as Vice President and General Manager in the company’s Marketing and Sales department. Lance also serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce board and executive committee. He is a member of the Business Roundtable, the STRATCOM Consultation Committee and the Georgia Institute of Technology President’s Advisory Board.

Ian Jefferies assumed role as President and CEO of the Association of American Railroads (AAR’s) on January 1, 2019. Prior to this role, he was the senior vice president of AAR’s government affairs where he led the development, promotion and implementation of legislature for AAR. Jefferies has worked in the government for over a decade. From 2009 to 2013, Jefferies served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. He provided policy guidance on multiple transportation issues, including railroad economic regulation, rail safety, and passenger rail.
