Harry E. Gould Jr. Acquired Interest in Denmaur Paper Media

Denmaur Paper Media is pleased to announce that Harry E Gould Jr has acquired an interest in its business. With immediate effect, Mr. Gould has become the majority shareholder and will work with the current board of Directors and Denmaur employees to further the growth of the business. Stephen Mason remains as non-executive Chairman, Mike and Nick Gee both continue in their current roles.

Alongside Harry, his brother Robert Gould will also be taking up a position on the Denmaur board, as a non-executive Director.

Harry Gould brings a wealth of experience and a successful track record of identifying opportunities and developing companies within the paper industry. Harry’s involvement and resources will support the expansion of the Denmaur brand into new markets and territories.

"I’ve been working with Mike on this opportunity for some time and I’m delighted that we have been able to agree on a deal." said Mr. Gould.

The announcement from Denmaur comes exactly 12 months after its 35th year in the paper industry and a restructure to reflect its presence in both the publishing and commercial print sectors. Since then, the company rebrand has been successfully established, with significant additions to a growing stock portfolio that include exciting new products such as Innovation Digital, Revive Natural and Delipac, the highly sustainable food packaging range.

Mike Gee commented, "Harry’s involvement signifies the next step forward for us – looking at strategic growth opportunities, diversifying into new product areas, acquisitions and possibly expanding into international markets".

Harry Gould is no longer connected with the paper business that still bears his family name in both the UK and the United States. When Harry sold his business to Japan Pulp and Paper Company Ltd in 2015, Gould Paper Corporation was the 4th largest paper merchant in the US. Commenting on this latest business venture, Harry said, "Denmaur Paper Media is a dynamic company with clear growth ambitions. In the UK, it is currently the 4th biggest player in its market, so I am kind of starting where I left off and I’m excited about the future where Robert and I will be working with a like-minded group of people".

The twist of fate continues in that the two sets of brothers, who are all serious entrepreneurs, now sit around the same table. Mike Gee’s brother, Nick added, "We have shared ambitions and I’m certainly looking forward to both Harry and Robert’s involvement in current and future projects". Nick also commented, "Above all, we have a shared value in the importance of relationships – with customers, suppliers and our employees. I’m confident that everyone will continue to enjoy the Denmaur experience going forward."
