Save the Date! TAPPI Nano 2019 is Going to Japan

The 2019 International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials will be held at the Makuhari Messe International Conference Complex in Chiba, Japan, June 3-7, 2019.

With government funding and high interest from the private sector, new developments in nanocellulose technology are thriving in Japan. In 2001 the Japanese government prioritized nanotechnology development through their Science and Technology Basic Plan initiative, making nanomaterials one of their main focuses.

Nano 2019 is co-located with the Nanocellulose Forum’s (NCF) Nanocellulose Exhibition in TAPPI Nano.

NCF was established in June 2014 with the mission to accelerate research and development, industrialization and standardization of cellulose nanofibrils and cellulose nanocrystals. NCF is supported by Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). More than 200 companies have joined NCF, such as manufacturers, suppliers, machinery companies and analytical service companies of nanocellulose. Researchers in universities and public institutes, as well as central and local governments, are also members. NCF conducts activities for technology transfer, sample transfer, and discovery of new business opportunities.
